Kazakhstan became the first country in the world to officially ban the Koran, by putting it in the list of “extremist literature”.

Total in the list of “extremist materials” lists 207 titles, among which the various books, pamphlets, leaflets, historical literature, audio recordings.
In the court’s decision stated that the resolution was adopted at the request of the Attorney-General of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the recognition of informational materials that promote the ideology of radical “Wahhabi”.These informational materials are prohibited to disseminate and bring into the Republic of Kazakhstan.
